Michalla Schartz, ESU 6 SE Region Transition Facilitator, is thrilled to report that this year's SE Nebraska Job Expo: Employment is for Everyone on November 19th was a massive success, bringing together hundreds of passionate individuals eager to connect, learn, and grow! Thank you to every student, professional, and staff member who brought such amazing energy to the event.
Nebraska Innovation Campus was buzzing with excitement and opportunity as 227 young adults from 22 school districts navigated the booths, practiced their networking skills, and started meaningful conversations about their futures. It was inspiring to see so much potential in one place! One student responded with "I didn't know I was this important" when asked how they were feeling about the day.
We want to give a huge shout-out to the 38 dedicated businesses and education professionals who took time out of their busy schedules to share their knowledge and look for the next generation of talent. Your willingness to engage directly with students is invaluable and truly makes a difference in their career paths. For a complete list of all the professionals who made this event possible click here. Make sure you thank these business and education professionals directly if given the opportunity. This day was made possible by grants from Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation and the Cooper Foundation.
Finally, none of this would be possible without the backbone of the event - our event team. From setup to tear-down, their efforts ensured the day ran smoothly and professionally, creating a seamless experience for everyone involved. We hope every young adult left feeling inspired, connected, and one step closer to achieving their professional goals.
P.S. If you or a young adult you know made a great connection at the Expo, we encourage you to follow up and keep the conversation going!
