Speech-Language
The focus of ESU 6 Speech-Language Pathologists and Language Resource Teachers is the communication abilities of students. SLPs and Language Resource Teachers do the following:
- correct, improve or alleviate articulation, fluency, voice, language and swallowing impairments
- promote the development, improvement and use of functional communication skills
- provide support in the general educational environment to lessen the disability's social consequence by facilitating successful participation, socialization and learning
